How popular is the Washington Head Quarter Dollar? Consider this – when the design first appeared in 1932, it was supposed to be a one-year commemorative coin to celebrate George Washington’s 200th birthday! However, the public liked the coin so much that it became a regular fixture in American money and has been with us ever since. We expect this date set of Washington Quarters to be one of the most popular collections in the PCGS Set Registry. Collecting by date eliminates costly rarities like the 1932-D, 1932-S, and 1936-D, but aficionados of quality will face a real challenge in reaching the Finest Possible Set Rating of 67.51! Many of the dates from 1932 to 1938 are downright tough in superb condition and we’ve weighted them accordingly. For the years from 1999 to date, choose your favorite 50 States Quarter Dollars.
