Draped Bust Quarters Basic Set, Circulation Strikes (1796-1807) - CAC

Though it consists of only five coins, this set features two very low mintage issues that will challenge most all who attempt to complete the set. The Small Eagle Reverse of 1796 is a one year type coin, and even low grade pieces command healthy prices on account of demand from type collectors. The 1804, by virtue of its tiny mintage of only 6,738 pieces is a rarity, and while lower grades sell for less than the 1796, in high grade, it sells for more. Unlike the 1796, no real gems are known of this date.
