About This Set:
The silver pieces in this set are the lowest mintage U.S. Business strike coins in the 20th century.
10,000 pieces were struck for sale at the Saint Louis worlds fair in 1904. Not all sets were sold and
records show 6,246 sets were put into circulation in the Philippines. By comparison the next two lowest
mintage Business strike 20th Century coins are the : 1913-S Barber Quarter at 40,000, and the
1916 Liberty Standing Quarter at 52,000.
" Special care must be taken on differentiating these coins from the Proofs (1,355) of the same date.
They are well struck with a proof like appearance. The main differentiating criteria will be the strike,
with the proofs displaying more pronounced devices"
