Late in the year in 2021, a collector named Gerald Medel from San Diego, California, discovered numerous 2021-W Mint State $10 Gold Eagles, struck from a West Point "W' mint mark proof die. The coins appear to be very scarce, and time will tell if many more will be found or if this was the only batch. Very neat and interesting coins in the American Gold Eagele series, as not many errors are made in the Gold Eagle series.
