The $5 Uncirculated Gold Eagles were offered to Mint Authorized Purchasers on January 03, 2012. The dealers then offered the coins to the public. Consequently, the coins began to appear in the market around late January or early February of 2012. The Mint offered four different denominations this year as in most years. Therefore, dealers could have ordered a $5, $10, $25 or a $50 coin.
