The U.S. Virgins Islands Quarter is the fifth coin released in the District of Columbia and U.S. Territories Quarter Program. The U.S. Virgin Island Quarters were released on September 28, 2009 at 12:00 p.m (E.T.)

The U.S. Mint offered the quarters in two rolls sets or in bags containing 100 coins or 1000 coins each. The two rolls sets consisted of one roll of 40 quarters struck at the Philadelphia Mint and the second roll contained 40 quarters struck at the Denver Mint. The two roll sets were offered at a price of 32.95 each. The 100 coin bags were offered for $32.95 each. The 1000 coin bags were sold for $309.95 each.
