The 2007-P Desegregation Commemorative Silver Dollar was struck to commemorate the courage and determination displayed by African American High School students from Little Rock Arkansas in 1957.
Obverse: The obverse shows several students feet as their walking to school and are accompanied by an armed U.S. soldier. The obverse also has the inscriptions, "Liberty, Desegregation In Education 2007" and "In God We Trust."
Reverse: The reverse of the coin depicts the Little Rock Central High School in 1957. The reverse has the inscriptions, "One Dollar, E Pluribus Unum, Little Rock Central High School" and "United States of America."
