The Uncirculated 2006-S San Francisco Commemorative Silver Dollar was struck to pay tribute to the San Francisco Old Mint as it played a pivotal role in the rebuilding of the city.

Obverse: The obverse of the coin features the San Francisco Old Mint. The obverse also has the inscriptions, "Liberty, 1906, 2006, San Francisco Earthquake and Fire Centennial, and E Pluribus Unum."

Reverse: The reverse of the coin features the same eagle reverse design used on the Morgan Dollar. The reverse also has the inscriptions, "United States of America, Five D." and "In God We Trust."
