The 2006-P Kennedy Half Dollars were not released into circulation. Instead they were sold directly by the U.S. Mint to collectors and the public. The coins were officially released by the U.S. Mint on February 15,2006. The coins were sold in 20 coin rolls at a price of $35.50 for each roll. They were also sold in bags containing 200 coins each. Each bag had an issue price of $135.
