The 2004-P Uncirculated Thomas Edison Commemorative Silver Dollar was struck to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the invention of the light bulb by Thomas Edison.

Obverse: The obverse depicts Thomas Edison holding an experimental light bulb in his laboratory. The obverse has the inscriptions, Liberty, In God We trust, Thomas Edison and 2004.

Reverse: The reverse of the coin features a light bulb. The reverse also has the inscriptions, "125th Anniversary of the Light Bulb, 1879, 2004, United States of America, One Dollar and E Pluribus Unum."
