The 2003-P Sacagawea Dollar is one of the scarcer issues in the series. It's mintage is just over 3 million. Compare this to the mintage of the 2000-P with a mintage well over 700 million. There also other dates in the series with lower mintages that are lower than 2 million, but for the most part the 2003 can be considered a scarcer issue.
This issue was very well struck and examples up to about MS67 can be easily obtained at very small premiums. In MS68 they are scarce but just about anyone can own one at a slight premium. In MS69 they are very scarce and very hard to come by. Examples in this condition are very expensive as there are very few out there to satisfy the collectors demand.
