The 2002-W West Point Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar was struck to commemorate the founding of the West Point Military which was signed into law on March 16, 1802 by President Thomas Jefferson.
Obverse: The obverse features 5 cadet guards in front of the Academy's Washington Hall and Cadet Chapel. The obverse has the inscriptions, "1802, Liberty, 2002 and "In God We Trust."
Reverse: The reverse shows a helmet and sword or the West point Bicentennial logo. The reverse has the inscriptions, "1802 West point, United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, One Dollar and Bicentennial.
