The 1996-P Paralympic Silver Dollar was issued as part of a 16 coin program commemorating the XXVI Olympiad Games held in Atlanta, Georgia.

Obverse: Obverse has an Olympiad sitting in a wheelchair with a short sleeved shirt which states "USA" and the number "301". The Olympiad is smiling while holding both his arms up in excitement. Above him are the inscriptions, "Triumph of the Human Spirit." On his right are the inscriptions, "In God We Trust" and below him are the words, "Paralympics, Liberty, 1996."

Reverse: The reverse of the cion has the Olympics torch emblem with the number "100" inscribed underneath it. It also has the inscriptions, United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, Atlanta 1996 Centennial Olympic Games" and the words "One Dollar."
