1989-S $1 Silver Eagle, DCAM PR70DCAM Certification #20705760, PCGS #9827
Expert Comments
Jaime Hernandez
The 1989-S Proof Silver Eagles had a slightly higher mintage than the prior year. Proving to be more popular this year. The price of spot silver in 1989 was at about $5.50 on average for the year. Examples in PR70 Deep Cameo are much scarcer than all the other lower grades, therefore, commanding a significant premium in PR70 grades.
