The 1986 $50 Uncirculated Eagle was the first $50 coin produced in the Uncirculated American Gold Eagle series. It's mintage was very high due to its popularity as a new coin. Examples up to MS69 condition are easy to obtain. In perfect MS70 condition they are much scarcer.
