The 1984-W $10 Uncirculated Olympic Gold Commemorative was struck to commemorate the 1984 Olympic Games that were held in Los Angeles. The Mint also struck two additional coins to commemorate this event, which were the 1983 and 1984 Olympic Commemorative Silver Dollars.

Most 1984-W $10 Uncirculated Gold Commemoratives were struck well and range from about MS68 to MS69 condition. Perfect MS70 examples are much scarcer but more than enough coins have been graded MS70 to meet the public's demand.
