The 1984 Olympic Silver Dollar was issued to celebrate the XXIII Olympiad Games held in Los Angeles, California.

Obverse: The obverse of the coin displays the entrance of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum also known as the Olympic Gateway. It also has the inscriptions, "Liberty, In God We Trust, Los Angeles 1984 XXIII Olympiad."

Reverse: The reverse of the coin shows a large American eagle perched on top of an olive branch. it has the inscriptions, "United States of America One Dollar E Pluribus Unum".
