Over half a billion 1976-D Jefferson Nickels were struck, so the this issue is really common in circulated grades. In uncirculated grades it is very scarce in MS66 condition or higher. Especially in MS66 Full Steps it is very difficult to find. Surprisingly, examples grading higher than MS66 or MS66 Full Steps are very rare or possibly even non-existent. A very tough issue in high grades to say the least.
