The 1971-D Washington Quarter is very common as the Mint produced over 250 million of them. Coins can still be found in circulation but most of these are in MS63 condition and lower. In MS64-MS65 condition they are very common but most of them have probably been set aside or pulled from circulation. Examples in MS66 are scarce and were probably pulled from rolls or mint sets. In MS67 they are scarce with a few hundred probably in existence. In MS68 they are very scarce with less than a handful known and none being finer.
