The 1959 Proof Jefferson Nickel is fairly common in grades of PR60 to about PR67. In PR68 with a Cameo Designation it is scarce with several hundred examples still available. With Deep Cameo surfaces the 1959 Proof Jefferson Nickel is scarce in any grade since very few examples have managed to survive with a Deep Cameo appearance. Many of these Deep Cameo examples were probably struck from fresh pair of polished dies. Any example displaying Deep Cameo surfaces is a great find.
