THE ELECTRIC WUNDERCOIN. NICE FROSTY DEVICES ON OBVERSE OF COIN. COIN IS BEAUTIFULLY FRAMED ON BOTH SIDES WITH ATTRACTIVE RIM TONING OF ELECTRIC BLUE AND PURPLE WITH SOME RUSSETT. THIS IS THE COIN THAT STARTED IT ALL FOR ME. THIS COIN WAS MY FIRST COLOR TONED PROOF FRANKLIN. THE BEAUTIFUL COLOR TONING OF THE COIN SPARKED MY INTEREST AND I BEGAN TO ACTIVELY SEEK OUT COLOR TONED PROOF FRANKLINS.

The 1958 Proof Franklin Half Dollar is one of the more common dates in the series. Especially if compared to the 1950-1952 Proof Franklin Half's which all have a mintage under 82,000. The 1958 Proof Franklin Half is scarce in grades of PR68 and higher. Anything grading under PR68 is fairly common and can be purchased very inexpensively.
