1956-D 5C MS65 Certification #31332942, PCGS #4060
Expert Comments
Jaime Hernandez
The 1956-D Jefferson Nickel is considered an average common date as it's mintage is relatively high for the series, The Mint struck over 67 million examples and there are several dates with mintages under 10 million. Therefore, it should be fairly easy to find an example in the market place. In Uncirculated condition it is scarce in MS67 grades or higher. With the Full Steps designation it is scarce in any condition, as the reverse die design was more than likely worn out when striking this issue.
