Proof Jefferson Nickels from the 1950's tend to have a strong collector demand. Especially for examples that are in higher grade or that display Cameo and Deep Cameo surfaces. The 1955 Proof Jefferson is no exception. However, despite a mintage of over 378,000 examples being struck, it is very difficult to find examples in PR69 condition or higher for both Cameo or non-Cameo examples. With Deep Cameo surfaces it is very scarce and collectors will have a very hard time finding any example, especially in PR68 Deep Cameo or higher.
