1954-D 25C MS66+ Certification #39855270, PCGS #5856
Owner's Comments
Purchased in an NGC MS-66 holder. Cracked out and sent in raw to PCGS and upgraded to MS-66+. This is the last coin to complete my set. This is a difficult coin to find with in higher grades. I just could not find a coin MS-66+ in a PCGS holder that I liked.

The 1954-D is about of equal rarity to the 1954 in MS65 condition, but it is much rarer than the 1954 (or the 1954-S) in Superb Gem MS66 or better condition. Like many of the D Mints of this era, marks and roughness of surfaces are an issue. Truly superb Gems are quite rare.
