1947-S 10C MS67 Certification #37690180, PCGS #5087
Owner's Comments
"THE COIN, THE COIN, THE COIN IS ON FIRE! WE DON'T NEED THAT COIN...LET THE M-F BURN" This coin is Mottled Gold and set ablaze on the rims with Flame Red, Tangerine, Chrome Yellow, Mustard, Pecan, Autumn Spice, Aubergine and Ebony without a cool color in sight. This Bad Boy appears to have a "Sans-serif" 'S' Mint Mark, which this was the last year it was used.

The 1947-S Roosevelt Dime is one of the scarcer coins n the Roosevelt Dime series. It has a mintage of approximately 35 million coins struck. Most other dates have mintages well over 35 million. This issue is fairly common up to about MS66 condition. In MS67 condition it is scarce, yet still obtainable for a reasonable premium. In MS68 condition without Full Bands it is almost unheard of, however, a few examples have been graded.
With the Full Bands designation in it is truly scarce in MS67 FB, with about 100 examples known more or less. In MS68 Full Bands it is extremely tough to find and about a dozen or so examples are known.
