Owner's Comments

Mintage. 586,810,000 Composition .950 Copper .050 Tin and Zinc Originally designed by artist Victor D. Brenner to commemorate the 100Th anniversary of Abraham Lincolns birth, the Lincoln Wheat reverse cent has become a collecting favorite. With many high mintage dates, putting together a complete set is not out of reach for many collectors. During 1940 the Second World War was already under way in Europe, but the United states would not enter into the war until the following year.
