One analyst described the 1926-D Lincoln cent as usually being “dull and unattractive.” Sharply struck gems with original color are very rare. The 3rd edition of a Guide to Lincoln Cents states that if you find a 1926-D Full Details coin you have “hit a numismatic World Series Home run with the bases loaded.
