1924 5C MS63 Certification #83219791, PCGS #3951
Owner's Comments
A long time piece of the set, the only time I've considered upgrading is when the Angel Dee's set went for auction at Legends. It was the one piece in that auction I could afford and was a beast to boot. I recall being outbid pretty early on.
The piece at hand was acquired when my primary interest was strike, but also has some wonderful color highlights as shown.

The 1924 is semi-common in circulated grades, but scarce in mint state. In Gem condition, it is the rarest Philadephia Mint Buffalo nickel from 1919 to 1938. This issue is usually well struck and luster is almost always somewhat frosty.
