Expert Comments
Ron Guth
The 1914-D Quarter is a common coin with a mintage of over three million pieces. High grade examples are plentiful. In Mint State, the most frequently seen grades are MS63 and MS64, and even the supply of MS65 examples is adequate. The best examples are at the MS67 level, where very few exist.
The overall strike for this date is excellent and the luster is usually soft and frosty
