The 1912-S Dime has a substantially smaller mintage than the 1912-P and 1912-D, and it commands a nice premium over the other two, especially in higher grades. Even so, Mint State examples are not rare and can be found with relative ease at any given time. The most plentiful certified grade is MS64, followed by MS63, then MS62. In MS66, the 1912-S Dime becomes a condition-rarity, and only one or two pieces have been graded finer. The best example is a PCGS MS67 -- formerly of the Simpson Collection and now in Stewart Blay's high-end set.

This date comes well-struck and usually shows full details on both the hair above Liberty's forehead and on the leaves at the bottom of the wreath.
