The 1904 Liberty Head Nickel is a very common coin in all grades, even in superb condition. This is the first date with numerous plus grades from MS63 to MS66, indicating that this date often comes with exceptional eye appeal. However, this is one of the few Liberty Head Nickel dates where no MS67 example has been certified by PCGS...thus far. The finest examples certified by PCGS include two at the MS66+ level. As usual, the most desirable coins combine great eye appeal with a strong strike (denticles, stars, and the ear of corn on the left side of the reverse).
