The 1900-S is a very common date, one of the five commonest Liberty Head Double Eagle issues from the San Francisco Mint and one of the most easily obtainable dates in the entire Liberty Head series. It is virtually identical with respect to both population rarity and condition rarity to the 1899-S. This date is readily available in all grades from VF to Unc-60. In choice mint state, the 1900-S is moderately scarce and true gems are very scarce, on a par with gems of most of the S-Mint twenties of the 1890's. A few superb examples of this date exist.PCGS #
