1899 5C MS66 Certification #03348628, PCGS #3860
Owner's Comments
Blazing luster and light golden toning grace this unblemished Premium Gem. Well struck save for the usual blending on the left ear of corn.

In 1899, production of the Liberty Head Nickel resumed with a vengeance, this time setting the highest record since 1868. As a result, this date is very common in all grades except MS67, where only a single example (an MS67+) has been certified by PCGS.
Well struck examples seem to be the norm, but others exist with weakly struck stars, as well.
