GEM specimen with frosty white toning and stunning strike from Lindy's Libertys Registry Set

In 1899, production of the Liberty Head Nickel resumed with a vengeance, this time setting the highest record since 1868.  As a result, this date is very common in all grades except MS67, where only a single example (an MS67+) has been certified by PCGS.

Well struck examples seem to be the norm, but others exist with weakly struck stars, as well.
