The 1893-CC Branch Mint Proof Morgan Dollar is very rare. Most coin experts indicate that about 12 examples exist. The mintage seems to be about right, as about a dozen examples or so have been verified. The coins have a special strike displaying prooflike surfaces and a very sharp strike, giving them the special Branch Mint Proof status.
