After the initial jump in demand for Proofs of the first-year-of-issue in 1892, collectors paid less attention to the 1893 Proof Half Dollars, resutling in a 36% drop in the mintage.  Nonetheless, at 792 coins, the 1893 has a mintage that can be considered average for the series.  Cameo Proofs make up at least a third of the total mintage, if not more.  Deep Cameos are quite scarce but can be obtained with much more ease than any of the later Proof Seated Liberty Half Dollars.
