1891 5C PR64 PCGS #3889
Owner's Comments
CAC coin with great color. This quote is from the GFRC website when I bought this coin…”Superb Eye Appeal, Brilliant Reflective Mirrors, Gold and Blue Coloration, CAC Approval. Handling an ever growing number of proof coins is becoming addicting especially with the superb eye appeal presented by this 1891 Liberty nickel. GFRC images are woefully inadequate with illustrating the brilliant reflective mirrors that explode under angled lighting. That same lighting showcases obverse golden hues and faint blues while the reverse is decorated with center blues surrounded by rose. Strike is hammered. Though having eye appeal of a higher grade, this near-gem is grade limited by an obverse line to the right of the bottom curl. Housed in newer NGC holder with edge view insert and CAC approval.”
