Proof 1891 Dimes were sold by the Mint as part of six-piece sets consisting of the silver and minor coins in Proof (individual coins were not sold separately). The mintage of the 1891 Dime was reported as 600 Proofs. The survival rate of this date is substantial, as over 240 Proofs have been certified by PCGS alone. Of those a fourth are Cameo Proofs but only a few examples have made the Deep Cameo cut. Several Proof 67 examples exist, and the best is a single PCGS PR68CAM. Take a look at the Gems pictured above, most of which have exceptional color and eye appeal.
