1889 $20 MS62 Certification #84065413, PCGS #9010
Expert Comments
David Akers (1975/88)
The 1889 is a moderately scarce date but it is not nearly as rare as its low mintage would imply. Overall, it is very similar in rarity to the 1877, 1878 and 1888 but it is not quite as rare as any of them in uncirculated condition. Choice mint state specimens are rare and at the gem level, the 1889 is very rare and almost never available.PCGS #
