The 1889 Indian Cent is fairly common and has one of the higher mintages in the circulation strike series. In circulated grades up to about MS63 it is fairly common for the most part. With the exception of examples displaying full red surfaces, as they are scarce in any condition with the red designation. Examples in MS64 to MS65 are scarce overall and probably somewhere around 1,000 examples exist within those two grades. In MS66 condition they are really difficult to obtain, as there are few examples known. Possibly less than a few dozen or so exist in MS66 condition.
