The 1885 Indian Cent is one of the lower mintage coins issued in the series. And from 1879 to 1907 it is the lowest mintage coin. However, it is still very common in circulated grades that it only sells for a very slight premium. In higher grades it is a difficult coin to find. For example, in MS64 condition there are probably fewer than 1,000 examples that still exist. In MS65 condition probably less than 500 coins exist. In MS66 condition less than two dozen are known and none have ever been graded MS67 or higher.
