Proofs are easy to distinguish from business strikes. First of all, on proofs, the tips of the wreath are distinctly separated, whereas on the business strikes, they are connected. The date on the proofs is also slightly lower in the field and slants down to the right, giving the impression that the 3 is "lower" than the rest of the date. On the business strikes, however, the date is leavel and also slightly more to the left.PCGS #
