The 1875-CC Half Dollar is semi-scarce, but those two little letters on the reverse (the CC mintmark) add a lot of value. In Mint State, collectors have the option of choosing between dozens of MS62, MS63, and MS64 examples. Only in MS65 does this date become truly rare, and anything finer is exceedingly rare. Two of the finest examples of this date are those from the Battle Born and Eugene Gardner collections (see the Condition Census below).
The 1875-CC Half Dollar usually comes with a crisp strike and good eye appeal. The luster is most often creamy or frosty and, less frequently, brilliant.
