1870 $10 AU55 Certification #45171879, PCGS #8657

Expert Comments

David Akers (1975/88)

The 1870 is a very rare date in all grades and is of almost identical rarity to the 1866. It is not as rare as the 1867 or 1869 but is more rare than the 1868. No uncirculated example has ever been offered for sale at public auction and I do not know of one in any collection.
