1868 3CS MS67+ Certification #40323105, PCGS #3688
Expert Comments
Ron Guth
In 1868, mint employees created only 3,500 Three-Cent Silvers for circulation, making this one of the rarest dates of the series. This date come prooflike and fully struck, so authentication is a must because Mint State examples are worth a lot more than Proofs. PCGS has certified only 28 Mint State examples, the finest of which are three at the MS66 level.
