The 1868, although scarce, is not as rare as one might expect from the low mintage of only 3,625. As the auction records indicate, EF and AU specimens are reasonably available. Choice uncirculated 1868's are really quite rare, however, and although I have seen a small number of Uncs., I think that the piece in the 1975 ANA Sale was as nice overall as any that I have seen.PCGS #
