The 1864 Two Cent piece is common in the sense that a large percentage of the original mintage is still available today. PCGS alone has certified nearly 300 Proofs.  The color scheme that is seen most often is Red-Brown, with examples ranging from mostly toned to nearly full Red.  The format that is nearly impossible to find is Cameo.  It seems that the Mint paid little attention to frosting the devices on this date.  IN addition, PCGS requires Cameo example to be full Red, further limiting the number of possible candidates.  Thus, any Cameo Proof 1867 Two Cent Piece is a true condition-rarity.  No Deep Cameo examples are known of this date.
