1867 25C PR66+ PCGS. Briggs 2-B. Heritage 2020 February 20-23 Long Beach Expo US Coins Signature Auction - Long Beach #1312, Lot #3640: A die lump on Liberty's drapery above the left edge of the 6 is diagnostic for 1867 proof quarters. The flashy fields, squared-off rims, and pinpoint-sharp strike are a few other indications that this coin was struck with special care. It is beautifully preserved and richly toned, with a full array of rainbow colors that flash when rotated under a good light. One of 625 proofs struck. Population: 13 in 66 (2 in 66+), 2 finer in non-Cameo (12/19).(Registry values: P2) (NGC ID# 23WY, PCGS# 5566)
