Despite a relatively low mintage, the 1862 Half Dollar can be found in nice condition with relative ease. This is refelcted in the PCGS CoinFacts Condition Census, where the lowest grade among the best Top Ten coins is MS65 and the top examples are four PCGS MS66s.
