1858 50C XF40 Certification #34466360, PCGS #6293

The 1858 Half Dollar is a common date and can be found in most grades, up to and including MS65. In MS66, the 1858 Half Dollar becomes a true condition-rarity, with only a handful of coins existing in that grade. Superb examples may not exist, as none have been certified in MS67.
For variety collectors, the 1858 Half Dollar offers a number of repunched and miosplaced dates. On one variety, the reverse is of the earlier (Type I) style.
The strike quality of this date is generally good. Luster ranges from soft and frosty to bright and prooflike.
